It’s summer, and I’m feeling a little restless… I don’t have the mood nor patience to spend hours perfecting my makeup. Instead, I’m choosing pieces that are as easy to wear as possible, and Chanel‘s current Les Beiges collection for Summer 2017 hits all the right spots for me. I’ve already reviewed some of the pieces here and here, and today I’d like to show you a couple of color makeup for the eyes and cheeks. Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Natural Eyeshadow Palette surprised me… I’m not the biggest fan of sheer, natural eye makeup, so this wasn’t the most compelling piece for me based on the press images, but when I swatched it for myself, I found my cynicism melt away. The palette is the same size of any Chanel eyeshadow palettes, but housed in the chic Les Beiges case. It contains 5 powder eyeshadows in a rich silky texture that seems to melt to the touch, and glides on the skin like butter. The colours are in a range of skin-loving hues that serve to enhance the eyes without detracting from their natural beauty. If there is ever a brand that I had coveted from afar, it would be Cosme Decorte’s AQMW line. Cosme Decorte is a premium skincare and makeup line owned by Kose, and its AQMW range is the brand’s ultimate luxurious offering (AQMW stands for Absolute Quality Miracle Wonder). Even though K-beauty is currently trending, I have always had a soft spot for Japanese makeup, and am really excited to be able to try out the new Cosme Decorate AQMW Eye Glow Gem! This Summer 2017, Cosme Decorte has released a new range of eyeshadow monos named AQMW Eye Glow Gem. These are a new hybrid texture that has a bouncy marshmallow feel (reminds me of Chanel’s Illusion d’ombre), they go on like creams, but feel super light almost gel-like on the skin. Once applied, they dry down and set like a powder, though with a very elegant soft shimmer that gives dimension without becoming too bling. All is not lost though, with Chanel’s latest collection of makeup specially designed for free expression, we can all enjoy makeup artistry in our daily lives! Chanel Ombre Premiere Collection is a permanent range of makeup to dress up the eyes. Instead of pre-decided quads, there is an extensive range of eyeshadows in 2 different textures that you can layer and mix-and-match at will. There are 24 amazing colors, from easy-to-wear neutrals to bold statement colors, in a variety of sumptuous matte, satin and metallic finishes. Chanel Ombre Premiere Longwear Cream Eyeshadow comes in the familiar round glass jar with black screwcap emblazoned with a golden double C logo. It is distinctly different from the older classic Illusion d’Ombre as it lacks shimmer, but is really quite close to the recent velvety ones such as this and this.
